Play a demo
Nine ready-made stories, narrated in Tenti's real voice. Quizzes with a warmly handled wrong snap, a song, little sums, and an English-to-Spanish story. Hover a button to see who each one is for, and pause, resume or restart any time.
There is no board in the real product — everything grows outward from the base box where Tenti the pup lives. Play the ready-made demos in Tenti's real voice, snap boxes on to hear each one greeted by age and language, and watch the exact context we would hand to the LLM assemble itself.
Families with children aged 2 to 7. Free, playful, and it shapes what ships. Your details only join the volunteer list so we can reach out, and you can opt out any time.
Nine ready-made stories, narrated in Tenti's real voice. Quizzes with a warmly handled wrong snap, a song, little sums, and an English-to-Spanish story. Hover a button to see who each one is for, and pause, resume or restart any time.
Tap a box or drag it near a glowing spot, gentle magnets, a soft click. Tenti greets every box to match the age band, and in Español or Português the greeting speaks that language. Boxes above or below the path become a side adventure. Press play and each box's top light bar fills, in its pack colour, as its part is told.
Every snap, pause or restart rebuilds the device state and the raw prompt we would hand to the model. Copy either and paste it into any LLM — that payload is what the real Tenti will run on.
Parent-app territory. Scan the QR code on the base box once and it appears in the app — the child never sees a setting.
Each box carries a unique ID chip, a top light bar, and one word. Labels below the boxes follow the home language. Expansion packs are just more boxes, the base box never changes.
Rightward is the main path; up or down is a side adventure. Tap a snapped box to pop it off — anything left without power pops off too.
Nothing connected yet. Snap a box to begin.
The lab above fakes the grid on a screen. The real toy is hands and boxes — nothing to tap or swipe. This is the hardware the stories will live in.
A little computer, the speaker and the battery all live in the base. It does the thinking and the talking right on the device, and the pup's face on the front is exactly where the voice comes from, so the words feel like his.
Each box is a picture, an ID chip and a top light bar, nothing else. Power and story data arrive through the joints, so there is nothing to charge, no battery to swallow, and new expansion boxes stay simple and cheap to make.
Weak self-centring magnets pull a box the last few millimetres onto spring pins, a click a two-year-old can manage one-handed. Rightward is the main story, above or below is a side adventure, and Tenti notices every connection the moment it lands.
Every box comes with a flat card twin, the same ID chip with none of the bulk. A card has no colour and no light bar, but the base still recognises it instantly, and a small magnet seats it on top of the box. For travel you leave the boxes at home and carry the cards, a whole pack thinner than a sandwich, so the stories still play in the car, at a restaurant, or at grandma's.
Every base talks through its speaker, or over Bluetooth when little headphones are connected. The collector's edition adds a 64 by 64 LED matrix behind the pup's face, so the story plays a soft pixel animation while it is told. Same boxes, same stories, a little more magic.
Boxes from different packs mix freely, so two kids can pour their packs together and build one story, taking turns to snap. That makes it a lovely fit for playdates and kindergartens too, one base box on the mat and everyone brings a box to the story.
The base box comes with a QR code on the back. Download the app, scan it, and that is the whole setup — no email, no account, no pairing screens. From then on the app talks to the base over Bluetooth, installs updates and moves story files across as you add packs. Every base ships with every pack's content preinstalled, so a box bought later just works the moment it snaps on.
Every child grows into words and busy little hands all their own, and no toy changes that. What we can change is what fills the in-between moments. We would rather those minutes were spent naming, snapping, singing and answering out loud than watching something flicker past, because play like that gives new words a fair chance to stick.
And nothing here replaces time with you. Tenti is for the gaps — the car, the waiting room, the twenty minutes before dinner — and the best sessions will always be the ones you play together.
We live here, and we want to build here. Not “based in the UK” with the making done somewhere far away, but the real thing — materials, manufacturing, assembly and code from as close to home as we can manage. Where something can't be sourced here yet, we say so and keep looking.
It matters because we're part of the communities our kids grow up in, and local products, local manufacturing and local jobs matter more to us than high margins. A toy made by people down the road keeps the miles low, keeps us honest, and leaves something behind in the place that made it.
Written plainly, including the parts we haven't finished thinking about.
Not in the first Tenti, and none planned any time soon. Your child answers with their hands, by connecting a box, and if you open the base up there is simply nothing in there that can hear. We start there and iterate with parents.
The first Tentis play stories built and reviewed by people before they ever reach a box, and we're open about using AI along the way — in the drafting and in the recorded voice — because it keeps Tenti affordable. The stories live on the device, so everything keeps working even if we disappear tomorrow. You're buying a product, not a subscription.
We aim to break even or lose a little on the base box, and we make a small margin on expansion packs. That is the whole model — your family's data is not part of it.
Nothing is sent back to us; the session feed lives between the box and your phone, and we're still working out what a parent should even see there. The QR code that pairs your base is printed on the back, and someone who photographs it today could keep a connection — re-pairing will be part of the answer. And children do grow fond of a pup who talks to them: we design Tenti to point the child back at you, and we would never pretend the risk isn't there.
